Woman Who Dared...

Hello!! So today I am  gonna review the book Woman Who Dared. Here is a picture of it. Plz read the post all the way to the end.

Arl let us start now! So this book is about 52 woman who dared to do something special. You may not have heard of them before because special woman are rarely mentioned in books therefore even spoken about. This books' author is Linda Skeers. I would rate this book 5 stars. I shall also recommend this book to a friend. Now I will a read a bit of one page (and it is one of my favorites!).                         

                                                   Irena Sendler~ Poland 1910-2008

When Irena was in high school, she realized that not everyone was treated equally. She and her Catholic friends were separated from the Jewish students and told not to sit with them. She refused not to obey and was suspended. Her fairness and courage to stand up to her beliefs would last a lifetime. Irena was working for the Social Welfare Department when World War II broke out. In 1940, over 500,000 Jews were imprisoned by the Nazis in the Warsaw Ghetto. which was surrounded by tall bricks and armed guards. Living conditions were horrible. There was not enough food, fresh water, or medicine. A secret organization~ code name Zegota formed to help the imprisoned Jewish families. Irena was the first to join. She was permitted to enter to ghetto to look for signs of disease, but Irena was doing something different- smuggling out children. Well, there u go!
