    Konnichiwa (That's how they say hello in Japan)! Welcome back to Bunzo_Reads! Today I'm gonna review the book " The Midwinter Witch". First off, you should know that this book is a graphic novel. The illustrations in this book are AMAZING!!! The author of this book is Molly Knox Ostertag. She is the author of The Witch Boy and The Hidden Witch. So as you must have guessed by now, this book is about witches and magic, and it's a sequel to both of those books I mentioned above.  Later on I will show you the pics of the other two books but for now...here is a pic of The Midwinter Witch!!

    Ok so now lets get to the real deal! Magic has a dark side... Aster is the first witch boy in his family, but girls are supposed to be witches and boys should be shifters. Aster looks forward to the Midwinter Festival, a reunion of the entire Vanissen family. This year he will be able to participate in the Jolrun, a magical race for witches and shifters. And Aster is determined to show everyone what he knows, but it's not that easy to defy tradition.      

    Ariel has darker things on her mind, like the mysterious witch who has been visiting her dreams, claiming to know about Ariel's past. She's thankful for everything the Vanissens have done for her, but Ariel still craves a place where she truly belongs.

    The festival is a whirlwind of excitement and activity, but for Ariel and Aster, nothing goes according to plan.  When a powerful and malicious force invades the reunion, threatening to destroy everything the young witches have fought for, can they find the courage to fight it together? Or will dark magic tear them apart? Well, what do u think? Pretty interesting am I right? Anyway, my fav. character is Ariel because she is pretty edgy and sarcastic. My least fav. character is Aster's cousin. My fav. scenes are the first half.
